| Plain & simple - We care about our dogs! We are not "backyard breeders." At DBK, we have been "dog people" all of our lives. We are breeding because we love the Pointer breed and want to ensure that our dogs represent what true Elhew foundation Pointers are about. There is a lot waiting, watching, and studying going on here before two dogs are ever breed worthy. We know our dogs inside and out. This is only about getting a better bird dog. We know what we like and we think you will like it to. |
| NO PUP WILL LEAVE OUR KENNEL BEFORE 10 WEEKS OF AGE!! Unless, at our discretion, we feel the pup is ready. This allows the puppy ample time to adjust to being weaned and to become more secure before going to its new home. Our puppies will be fully dewormed and vaccinated on a set schedule. The purchaser will be given a record of this information to take with them as well as when they will be next due for shots and worming. You will also be informed on the personality of your pup. This is important to know when training!! Purchaser must agree (in writing) to fully vaccinate against puppy diseases and Rabies virus. **IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT BIRD DOGS ARE VACCINATED AGAINST RABIES AND LEPTOSPIROSIS (carried by wildlife)!!** |

| DBK will allow a waiting list on litters. We will accept a deposit of $200.00 to hold a puppy. All deposits are non-refundable- period. Once the pups are born we will begin accepting deposits. We will allow picks of the puppies to be made in the order that the deposits are received. This listing will be posted on the PUPS PAGE of our website. Pick-ups will be arranged in order of deposits, since there are others waiting for their turn, pick ups will be scheduled closely together. If you choose to postpone your scheduled pick-up you will be moved to the bottom of the list to keep others from waiting. This keeps the process fair for everyone. A deposit may be transferred to another litter, however, remember we are not a puppy factory and will have limited litters per year. Payment of a remaining balance is due when you take your puppy home. If no deposits have been taken - order is strictly first come, first pick. We will accept cash. |
| DIRT-BROKE KENNELS reserves the right to first-pick of every litter. We may choose to sell some puppies early and reserve others for sale as started gun dogs. |

| We choose not to ship puppies via Air travel. It is best to plan to drive to pick up your puppy at our kennel. We also prefer for you to see our kennels, our dogs, and how they are treated and raised so that you will know your pup is coming from an excellent foundation. If necessary we can try to meet you, but this may impact your waiting time of getting your puppy depending on our schedules. We cannot drive more than two hours, one way but will certainly make every effort to accommodate you. We will also consider a reputable dog carrier service. |

| We encourage folks that are interested in our pups to visit our kennel and see The Big Dogs! We will gladly take the parents out and work them for you so you can see these are true bird dogs. Please just call or email so we can set up a time! |

- Our dogs are bred to HUNT!! While they are all socialized to cats and kids and anything else we can find around here, they are HUNTING dogs.
Our dogs are also bred to have good personalities but they are STILL HUNTING DOGS!! They must be comfortably contained and not allowed
to roam your yard without immediate supervision. Their desire to hunt will get the best of them and get them hurt...or worse.
- We will gladly help you out with your new DBK puppy or dog. Bring your list of questions with you! We want you to get maximum enjoyment out of
your Pointer. We will always be glad to help.
- In addition to our Summer & In-Season Training Sessions, we offer puppy training. This is a "lighter" course than our regular sessions. Please
let us know if you think your pup would benefit!
- Please remember that our goal is to produce true bird-hunters. We will only put out there what we know will find birds and look good doing it. We
want you to be happy with your DBK pointer and always keep us updated on his/her progress. We will post it here on our site!
- PLEASE REMEMBER: IF YOUR DOG DOESN'T SEEM TO "GET IT" WHEN TRAINING, STEP BACK AND TRY ANOTHER WAY, IF THEY DON'T
UNDERSTAND - MOST LIKELY THE FAULT LIES WITH THE TRAINER. MANY GOOD DOGS ARE RUINED BY IGNORANCE ON THE PART OF THE TRAINER.

---Dirt-Broke Kennels reserves the right not to sell a puppy/dog to anyone that we feel will not properly care for it and/or that we
feel is not educated enough about the breed to own one. We will not allow our dogs to go to homes where their well-being is questioned.
---We will accept the return of a DBK pup/dog if for any reason you cannot care for it, handle it, etc. We do not return any money
under these circumstances but will always allow the return of one of our dogs. We absolutely forbid one of our dogs to ever be
turned over to a shelter. Bring it back to us.
---Dogs will need vet services throughout their lives. If you are committing to a DBK pointer - you are committing to taking care of it.
